CCP Pann,
The main issue is that it appears that CCP has been telling the players/customers one thing, while planning to do something else. The :Fearless:Greed is Good, document that keeps being mentioned is the biggest reason for the outrage. We need to know, with proof, if it is an actual CCP document, or not. And, unfortunately, it may be too late for anyone to believe any response to this. The biggest part of that is CCP Fallout's comments about MT. While he admitted that the players have said time and again that we don't want them in EVE, he wants to push them on us anyway. And then, not just for vanity items, but enhancements. We don't want that, and we don't appreciate being lied too. (In case you haven't noticed, John Turbefeild(sp?) has become somewhat of a hero for us through the same document.)
Next thing is, CQ was promised to be optional, and it is, sort of. Instead of letting those that want the hanger view, which a large portion of us do, you make us stare at a door. So the choice is a door, or CQ, some immersion there, thanks. The prices in the NEX, while way outside the meaning of micro-transactions, are not a major concern. The fact that they are so high makes it seem that CCP is just trying to soak as much money from its loyal fanbase as it can. I don't see the NEX going away, but never sell enhancements.
While I see a lot of "I don't pay for EVE so CCP can develop DUST and WoD!" complaints, it really would be shortsighted of us to actually believe that we should have any say in how CCP uses the money we pay to play EVE. And I really do hope that those game become solid, with as a supportive, and vocal, player base as EVE's. Because, if they don't, I fear for a game that I do care about.
In the end, all we really ask for is that someone step up and explain why CCP appears to be telling us one thing, then planning on doing what it is so obvious that the players don't want. We love this game, we want to continue to support it, and we will, if CCP stays to what it promised. I know that I, for one, and many others support a rise in the subscription price, instead of MT. Please listen to that part very closely. Because, if you lose us, EVE dies. If EVE dies, CCP may very well become like the dinosaurs. And we know what happened to them, don't we?
